DIY Fashion Hacks

Life in Los Angeles is what I would compare to a fast moving freight train that lost its breaks a few miles back! Everyone, whether you live in the city or on its outskirts, is hustling to keep this city of Angels bustling. Some mornings get such a buzz around them that I forget to tuck my blouse in before walking out of the door! So what's a girl to do when her zipper on the only clean pair of jeans she owns snaps loose? Or how about if you were finally invited to your favorite influencers summer kickback and you find yourself at a loss for the perfect trendy crop top? 

Well we can’t all just break down and lose it right there, not if I can help it! Like I said, this is a city of angelic go getters! So let's go on and get with some basic fashion hacks that will have our backs covered even in the busiest of times. 

The truth is, Angelino or not, everyone needs a few fashion tips and tricks stored in their back pocket. Whether it's shared by a friend, or passed down from generations before you, there will certainly come a time when a little fashion trick up your sleeve will make its big debut and save the day. 

I recently found myself in a bit of a fashion dilemma. Lets just say it involved a girl and an overdue dirty laundry hamper. Ok, yes that girl is me and YES I lagged a bit on the cleaning portion of the laundry. Go figure. I was left with only one pair of wide legged denim, not my favorite pair if I might add. Not only that but it was right before a big party that was starting in the next 30 minutes. Now before you go judging me and my lack of planning, let’s be honest, I can’t be the only one out there who gets a little laundry lazy and has things slip their mind! After reasonably tossing everything in my closet onto my bed and nearly uttering the forbidden words... “I’m not going”... I called who other than my sister.

After a few minutes of me panic ranting to my sister, she turned me on to a pretty neat trick of folding and rolling my flared denim so that it paired just right with my outfit! Thank goodness for my sister and her angelic levels of patience. As you can imagine I made it to the event only a few minutes later than I had planned and even received a bunch of compliments on my rolled denim look. In the spirit of passing this positivity along, I wanted to share with you some of my personal go-to fashion hacks. These tips are ones that I find myself using the most frequently when I’m in a bind for time and in need of a little fashion help. I can guarantee by practicing some of these DIY Fashion hacks you’ll change the experience of getting ready on the go, and even one day, help a friend(or your sister) in need.
